Yearbook photos in Bogor

It is customarry for seniors in every school to take yearbook pictures in their last semester of school. My school is no exception. We were given freedom by the school to pick out how, where and when we take them. But what i dont understand is why my classmates picked out Bogor as our location for the shoot?

There are many places for us to take pictures. We could do it at parks in Jakarta, Monas, or maybe go as far as Sentul to Marco's but Bogor? One of my mates who is off for Umroh had to be left behind by us because the date was sealed and we had to shoot it last Friday.

Anyways you want to know about what went down right? Well for starters we r schedhuled to meet at a friends place in Menteng at 7 and go to Bogor directly, but the girls had to do their makeup and wait for the photographers who actually arived at 10. Lord Chamberlane tagged along to make sure inwas in line, but i switched cars before the highway to Yobbi's Mazda along with Sukma and Daris.

We arrived at Bogor just at Friday prayer time. There is a mosque near Riri's place so the guys and i went there to pray. After we came back to her house we are shocked to see that the girls are getting their makeup AND hair done. Well we were not that shocked, we all know that girls needs more maintanance right? It took a while for some of them to be ready and the photographers were waiting with some of the student council members in charge of the program in the botanical garden. I dont know how but i end ip with Marco and Alya in Sabda's car.
He is smiling inside, believe me

We were the first to arrive there an hour late from the apointed time of 1 o clock. It was raining and the rest of the kids hasnt arrive yet so to kill time, i blew some balloons with Ila's driver in the back of a honda Jazz.

After half an hour the rest of my classmates arrived and then we began shooting. The shooting was fun, but we had to dodge the constant barrage of bird Shit from the canopies of the trees above as we wait our turns.

Unfortunately, because of our late arrival, we ran out of time and it was getting late, thus we were kicked out of the Bogor botannical garden by the local security guards. One final group of 5 people had to take their picture taken today on Monday acter school.

I didnt want to stick around any longer so i head home with Lord, and Calvin because he wanted to sleepover at my place. The Lord took us on the fastest highway trip i ever experienced, about 45 minutes crom Bogor to Jakarta. During the trip back, Calvin and I discussed fried rice's. Because of that short conversation, Calvin, the Lord and I stopped by Bakti Fried Rice i. senopti becore heading to my house. We all know that the Lord and i are expert Fried rice tasters right? :D

Getting my tooth plucked out

Allright, its been a while since i put on my braces even though i havent got any of my tooth pulled out unlike my sister who got 4 tooth pulled before she put on her braces. Anyways apparently i was gonna get my tooth pulled out sooner or later...

Which means i got to get them pulled out today...

As we speak, half of my mouth is still numb from the anastesia that the dentist gave me. Believe it or not it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would. The pain was actually from the drugs piercing the nerves of the teeth. 4 of my teeth was supposed to be pulled out, i only got 1 out so that means there is 3 more plucking sessions with the dentist before i can rest my thoughts.

Turns out that how scary your fears are, if you take them head on, they SOMETIMES dont feel as painful as you thought. In this case like the shot the dentist gave me, then again it still hurts like C@&K!

New Years 2013

Hey happy new years all!.

We finally passed the 211212 deadline and we managed to see a whole new year, how bout that? Personally i dont believe any of that stuff but as long as im safe, than im good. Anyways today im gonna tell you what i did for new years a couple of week past.

As you may know, my family has an annual meetup each new ears eve. This time we were gonna meetup at Lembang, and since the Lord( my driver) isnt around, so i am the designated driver to drive the big bad H-1 Minibus for my dad, mum, sister, and my cousin who is on leave from the mining site. This was my first time driving the H-1 in a cross country environment, heck it was my first time driving ANYTHING cross country. We didnt want to take the Bandung-Lembang route because its probably packed with Jakarta citizens going to Bandung, so we took the Subang-Lembang route instead. The route that we decided to take is filled with zig-zaggy up and down roads which is packed by trucks and buses.

The road is actually quite nice, except for the infamous "emmens incline" which is a steep 45 degree uphill climb for about 3 kilometers. The H-1 had the same problem like she had back in Nagrek, the engine temperature went up like crazy, she held up though and we finally hit a downhill road and she started to cool off. It was a hair raiser, but getting there is half the fun right? And that was it. After we stopped for lunch and a prayer brake we went again to Lembang and then the hotel. My Auntie, uncle, and cousin were already at the hotel when we arrive.

Oh and did i mention that we surprised Karin on 00:00 in 31/12/12 ? Happy 19th birthday sister!

Now what is Lembang good for. Well there is the famous "milk tofu" which is just normal tofu only its made from Lembang grown material which made the tofu taste softer, and fluffier. But unfortunately the morning plan to visit the tofu place to eat and take a bath in the stuff was cancelled, due to the fact that everyone in the hotel was feeling extra lazy and wanted to stay at the hotel and wait for the afternoon activity which was paintball.

The paintball field wasnt even in Lembang, it was a 10 minute uphill climb to an outbound area owned by some landlord who apparently has the vision of making his outbound place the best in West Java. It was called the CIC for short and the place is huge. We were there only for a paintball match but there is actually a wide array of activities available there ranging from camping, horseriding, hiking, or an Indonesian version of an Australian walkabout. Anyways the match was a mere 2 round fight, my mum got shot in the face, and nobody won.

We had lunch and say goodbye to our relatives and hope to meet some of them home in Jakarta. The plan was to do new years and have a nye party in Lembang but lets be honest, the place is kinda boring and we miss our beds at home especially Karin because she is only visiting Jakarta and has to go back to Singapore in a couple of days.

My dad drove the way back to Jakarta, the road wasnt even crowded and it took hs a quick 2 and half hour trip back to Jakarta because everyone is bussy having a NYE in Bandung or Ancol. After we arrive home we immediately went to bed but we were woken up by the sound of fireworks and flares outside because its new years. The damned thing didnt stop untill about 4 in the morning. Boy did those guys had a blast right?
