|Rode it like i stole it|
1. Tires make a difference
My mountain bike has grippy front tires and less grippy rear tires, but they are still dirt tires built for the single track or mountain trail. Unlike the slick road tires those guys who passed me use on their roadies, mountain bike tires have more rolling resistance, causing me to output more power on the pedals to go as fast as them.
2. Lockout your front suspension (if you can)
The lockout feature on your front fork is not just a gimmick to make your bike $$$ more, it is meant to be there because you need it in some circumstances. The lockout is good for riding smooth trails with loose sand or dirt... and asphalt with non bumpy roads. I tried riding around my house on my training sessions every morning with my lockout unlocked (suspension on), and it was fine most of the time because I go through the small alleyways with ups and downs, speed bumps, and some rocky roads thrown in just for fun. But it makes the bike rock up and down when you pedal hard on smooth surface, so its best to lock your front fork when you ride on road on your MTB.
3. Keep your seat high
Proper seat position is key when riding your bike. It makes your body feel less horrible after you finish your ride. I usually ride with my seat a bit low so i can easily let my feet down if the road gets to bumpy and I'm about to fall down, or there is a grandma on a motor bike full of bottled water on the other end of the alleyway demanding that she goes through first. This morning I rode with my normal seat position, it felt okay, but you can notice the difference after you've ridden about 5 k on the bike and you need more leg room so you can be more efficient on your pedal strokes. Unfortunately I did not bring my allen wrench to adjust my seat position.

It's currently pouring rain out and I'm stuck in traffic on my way home from campus. Out of nowhere, Lord just went "screw it, I'm gonna buy me some rambutans".
Luckily There is one stall just beside the my car at the moment that sells 4 bunch for 10.000, that is like.. just wow. Wonder how much the guy managed to squeeze from the rambutan farmer?
The amount of street stalls that sell rambutans vary seasonally. Fortunately it is currently in season. So if you want to buy some cheap ass rambutans, now is the time to hit your local roadside and buy some.

I've never set foot on any chicken shops, although I was quite pumped to visiting one after watching the comical web series dirty bird.
One of the key destinations that my Cousin insisted on me seeing is the penguin reserve on Philips island. Philips island is located at the small peace of island south of Melbourne in Google maps if you want to know where it is. We had to cross a bridge to get to the island, the good thing about it is that it is easier for them to keep the animals in a sort of natural habitat. My cousin took me to the "penguin palace" near sunset because that is when the penguins come home to their holes dug near the beaches after a day of hunting for fishies. Unfortunately I've no collection of penguin pictures because cameras are forbidden throughout the penguin reserve to shield the penguin's eyes from so called "camera flashes". Did I mention the place was cold? Guess that's what I get when visiting in the winter...
I moved to stay at the city for the rest of the trip for "undisclosed reasons". The city of Melbourne is pretty cool, not just the vibe, but the weather as well (I am such a sour trout about this weather issue). After being in 3 different cities, I can tell that each has its unique style. Perth with its laid back people, Sydney's metropolis setting, and Melbourne... well... Melbourne. I heard that Melbourne is one of the best cities to live in, I know that Sofles the graff writer is from Melbourne, and I know that
Victoria Market is a market, but not like the ones we have here back home. The market is filled with people who needs stuff to buy, or just random people looking for some time out in the city.
The buildings in Melbourne are pretty cool, little alleyways filled with cafes and old buildings with remodeled interior are abundant in the Melbourne CBD. Walking around Melbourne is a new experience for anyone who is new in town, there is always something cool to find.

Anyway Lets cut to the chase, a lot has happen after my last posted trip. I went to Bali for My dad's plastic surgery symposium, some road trips here and there, the Binus International capoeira club gathering , and many more. I'm planning to make some new posts besides me traveling around, so my blog will slowly turn into a personal blog telling stories about my everyday live (not all of them), and who knows, I might start vlogging??.
So sit tight, relax, and rest assured that I will write some more stories, just after I finish this one assignment...
